tekom Hungary Hosted Year-end Dinner For Its Members

2018 was an eventful year for tekom Hungary, so the country organization invited its members for a social get-together to discuss the year’s achievements, issues faced and also to talk about goals and plans for 2019. The event started off by recalling all events organized and attended by tekom Hungary, such as:

• Consistency in Technical Writing and Translation- Mini conference
• Information Delivery by Apps & Co.- Joint event with tekom Österreich
• Documentation & Localization at your fingertips- MemoQfest attendance
• Tools we use- Mini conference

Then András Juhász presented a report on the work of the Advisory Board for Training and Education.
Attendants were informed that tekom Advisory Board for Legislation and Standards is looking for experts as members especially in the fields of software documentation, medical devices, terminology and translation. Also, the Advisory Board for the Technical Communication Award is building a reviewer’s pool and they are open to all tekom Europe members.
As the evening progressed, everyone took part in a very constructive discussion about next year’s plans and goals.
After all the proposed topics had been discussed, informal discussions and celebration started.
