About tekom Europe without CO

The Europe (tekom Europe without CO) country organisation is for all persons working in technical communication and related fields of information management in countries that do not have their own country organisation.

We represent, for instance, technical writers, technical illustrators, technical translators, as well as product or marketing managers.

What do we offer?

We provide a platform for the exchange of information and experience, and we actively support training, advanced qualifications, and the continued professionalisation of our members.

Each year, we plan to organise several events featuring expert presentations, workshops, and discussions on a wide range of topics in technical communication.

Because our members are spread across Europe, most of these events will be held online.

About us

Samuel Barbier and Laura Cannon were elected delegate and substitute delegate respectively for the Europe (tekom Europe without CO) country organisation in November 2025.

Samuel is a project manager for content strategy and an adjunct professor of technical communication and content strategy. His goal is to strengthen the tech comm community in Rennes, France, and beyond.

Laura is a technical writer based in the UK and is keen to organise online events that will bring tekom members from across the Europe (tekom Europe without CO) catchment area together. She is also interested in setting up a virtual doc dinner.
