tekom Romania, founded in 2009, is one of the country organizations within tekom Europe, the largest professional association for technical communication worldwide.

Our Target Group

tekom Romania is addressed to all persons active in the field of technical communication or in other areas of information development and information management in Romania. These include, for instance, technical writers, technical illustrators or technical translators, product or marketing managers.

What do we offer?

We offer a platform for the exchange of information and experience, and promote the training and advanced qualification and further professionalization of our members. We organize several events / conferences each year with expert presentations, workshop sessions and discussion rounds about various topics in the broad field of technical communication.

Initiative Committee 

tekom Romania welcomes additional support, be it IC members, speakers, or sponsors. If you are interested in shaping the future of Technical Communication in Romania, please contact the tekom Europe head office.

Since spring 2026, tekom Romania has two new Initiative Committee members. Rodica Buga has been working in the field of software documentation for more than 20 years. She is currently working as a Senior Technical Writer in Bucharest. Melania Duma is a Technical Writer based in Cluj-Napoca. She has completed the TCTrain Expert Course and tekom’s training on iiRDS and has previously supported tekom Romania events as a speaker. 

Together with the delegate, Voichita Ghenghea, they want to strengthen the Technical Communication community in Romania by connecting with professionals, understanding their challenges, sharing knowledge, and helping each other meet the future challenges of the profession.
