Ulf L. Andersson Award – Nominations Open
In honor of Ulf L. Andersson, one of the founders of the Swedish Society of Technical Communication, tekom Europe introduced the Ulf L. Andersson Award in 2024 to commemorate the association’s 60th anniversary. Ulf was an important person in the development of the profession and the industry of technical communication. He was actively engaged not only in the professional association but also in publishing and teaching.
Starting in 2024, this award is presented annually to a tekom Europe member who has made a positive contribution to tekom Europe without holding an official position.
The prize is admission to the Nordic TechKomm Copenhagen conference, which takes place on September 23–25, 2025, including travel and accommodation costs. Nominations can be submitted using the attached form, with a deadline of May 26, 2025.
Who can nominate and who is eligible?
Everyone is welcome to nominate a tekom Europe member for this award. The person submitting the nomination does not need to be a tekom Europe member. However, individuals currently holding an official position within tekom Europe—such as board members of country organizations or members of advisory boards and committees—are not eligible for the award.
The winner will be selected by a committee consisting of three tekom Europe members who hold or have held official positions. The award will be presented during the conference, and we encourage the prizewinner to attend in person.
