Publication and distribution
Media productionmakesinformation products available for distribution. An information product is provided either on paper or electronically (e.g. embedded, online or mobile).
Distribution comprises the design, management and control of all processes to bring the information product to the user for use. The information product must usually be distributed together with the product. In certain cases, the distribution of the information product can take place separately from the distribution of the product.
Quality control of provision and distribution
Before an information product is made available to the user and published, its quality must be checked once again. This quality assurance relates primarily to the quality of media production and the publication of the information product, not to the quality of the content. It must be taken into account that the quality requirements and criteria differ between various electronic and non-electronic media and output devices. Even after the information product has been made available, the publication must be continuously checked and tested.
As a result of quality assurance, the information product can be finally published and distributed.
