AI is changing technical communication rapidly, from content creation and knowledge management to AI agents and structured writing. But what does the current state of AI adoption in our field actually look like?

The tekom Europe Taskforce on AI in Technical Communication is conducting a survey to gather data on how AI is currently being used, what challenges organizations and professionals are facing, and where the field is heading.

The survey covers topics such as general AI tools, AI agents, structured writing, organizational support, future developments, and skills. It takes approximately 15–20 minutes to complete.

The survey is open from October 6 to October 25, 2026.

Your anonymous survey responses will help us build a better understanding of current trends and identify topics and activities that can support the technical communication community in the future.
