tekom Europe appointed member of the EC Expert Group on Machinery (E03676)

We are pleased and proud to announce that tekom Europe has been appointed as a new member of the European Commission Expert Group on Machinery.
Technical communication is crucial to ensuring the safety of machinery and related products.
This recognition attests to the credibility and technical expertise of our association at the European level.
Being part of the European Commission Expert Group is not just a privilege; it is a responsibility. Our commitment is clear: to ensure that the voice of our representatives, professionals, businesses, and industry stakeholders, members and non-members, is heard at the tables where decisions that shape the future are made.
Thanks to this achievement we will bring the concerns, expertise, and proposals of our sector to the heart of the European decision-making process.
We are looking forward to continuing a fruitful collaboration with the European Commission and all the members of the Expert Group, with great professionalism and responsibility, on behalf of the sector of technical communication and documentation we represent.

tekom Europe has been designated as a Type C organization of the EC Expert Group on Machinery (E03676), a group of European and international organizations which also includes Orgalim – Europe's Technology Industries (Orgalim), European Association for the Co-ordination of Consumer Representation in Standardisation (ANEC) and 32 other organizations.
The main tasks of the EC Expert Group on Machinery are:
a) supporting the European Commission with advice and expertise when preparing legislative proposals and policy initiatives related to the internal market for machinery under Directive 2006/42/EC on Machinery, respectively Regulation 2023/1230 on Machinery;
b) assisting the European Commission in drafting Commission acts linked to the Directive/Regulation, such as implementing acts, delegated acts, and guidance documents;
c) promoting cooperation and coordination among the European Commission, EU Member States, and stakeholders on issues concerning the implementation of EU legislation, programs, and policies in the field of the internal market for machinery, including new technological developments;
d) encouraging knowledge and the sharing of good practices in the field of the internal market for machinery.
tekom Europe has contributed to the work of the EC and the Working Group on Machinery in the past with several position papers available on its website.
