Nordic TechKomm 2023

We held our 6th Nordic TechKomm in Copenhagen 19-21 September 2023 at Scandic Sydhavnen in Copenhagen.

We welcomed 140 participants and 13 sponsors from +17 countries for a packed conference program that had a lot of focus on the development we currently see in our field.

• Keynote by Scott DeLoach
• A tools and trends networking event to warm up for the conference
• 25 presentations from professionals in the field of technical communication
• 3 workshops spread across different topics
• Lots of snacks, cake and networking
• Raffle with great prizes provided by our sponsors

A big thank you from the board and conference team to everyone who contributed to the successful completion of the conference - especially to our sponsors and the conference participants.

Here are the take-aways our President highlighted in her close out speech:

• We need to include AI in our online documentation to meet user expectations
• We must have our requirements under control and make them understandable to all stakeholders
• Dynamic content delivery -> Give the users the info they need and limit the options
• Research and the right information is more important than ever
• "There is an AI for that!"
• A need to discuss more things on the leadership level
• The photographer noticed that people seemed happier
• The networking event to kick off the conference was a huge success

A few things we take away from your feedback:

1. We create a space, where you can learn, inspire and talk to a lot of different people
2. You want more networking! We already have a few ideas for how we can make this happen at next year's conference
3. You like the way we built the program this year, as it offered a lot of knowledge and hands-on opportunities
4. You're generally very happy about the conference - and so are we 😉🥳
5. Several of you showed interest in joining Maiken's morning swims - we'll see if we can schedule it in advance next year. She's happy to repeat the success 🏊‍♀️
