New software with many services
tekom is taking another step forward digitally. With our newly introduced administration software, you will soon be able to access even more functions and all tekom services via a central tekom portal using a single login.
What does this mean for you?
There will be one user account for all tekom services (single sign-on).
You will find everything in one central tekom portal with extended functions, including:
Management of your personal data
Overview of finances and invoices
Electronic invoicing in accordance with the EU standard EN 16931 (ZUGFeRD)
Why this change?
The new system will strengthen the association’s work in the long term and provide additional functions related to tekom services.
What do you need to do next?
Please log in to the new tekom portal using your existing access data and check or complete your information:
Contact details (name, address, email)
Billing address (if different)
To do so, log in to the new tekom portal via “my tekom”.
Note: If your password does not work, please use “Request new password” to set a new one.

tekom Europe Position Paper: EC Guide to application of the Machinery Regulation 2023/1230
tekom Europe's new position paper outlines aspects to be addressed in the European Commission's Guide to application of the Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 (hereinafter referred to as “EC Guide”). The EC Guide is currently being drafted in various working groups. tekom Europe's CEO, Dr Michael Fritz, is involved in Subgroup V, which deals with digital instructions and information. "From tekom's point of view, the reference to EN IEC/IEEE 82079-1 is particularly important. The standard provides support in preparing instructions for use and, among other things, offers guidance on how to technically implement uncertain legal terms from the Machinery Regulation," says Michael Fritz. The standard is already mentioned in the current edition of the EC Guide.

Shaping the Future of tekom Europe: New Delegates for 2026–2028
In November, the European members elected their delegates for the country organizations. Delegates represent the interests of their country organizations in the assembly of delegates, the highest decision-making body of tekom Europe. The first assembly of delegates with the newly elected delegates will take place in April 2026. The newly elected delegates will serve a three-year term beginning January 2026, shaping tekom Europe’s direction and supporting the technical communication community at the national and European levels. Experts are currently working in groups to prepare the draft of the European Commission’s (EC) Guide to Application of the Machinery Regulation. Mr. Michael Fritz, CEO of tekom Europe, is a member of the Editorial Group - Subgroup 5 dealing with digital instructions and information.

tekom Europe proudly presented the Ulf L. Andersson Award 2025 to Esben Keller during NORDIC TechKomm Copenhagen on September 24, 2025. This award recognizes individuals who make outstanding voluntary contributions to the tekom Europe community. Nominations are now open for the 2026 Ulf L. Andersson Award.
