After the foundation of tekom Europe in 2013 and the election of delegates in 2014, the first term of office is ending. tekom Europe members again have the chance to be candidates for the role of delegate and to elect delegates for their country organization.

The role of delegate is very interesting, as the Assembly of Delegates is the highest decision-making body of tekom Europe.

What Are the Responsibilities of the Assembly of Delegates (AoD)?

The assembly of delegates is the highest decision-making body of tekom Europe. Among other things, it makes decisions on the articles, regulations, membership fees and financial budget of tekom Europe e.V. In addition, the assembly of delegates elects the members of the executive board, the members of the arbitration tribunal and the cash auditors every three years. The assembly of delegates will also be informed about international projects and can make decisions on establishing working groups.

Who Is the AoD Composed Of?

The assembly of delegates will be made up of delegates from the country organizations, delegates from the group of members without their own country organization, and delegates from corporate members.

How Often Does the AoD Meet?

A general assembly of delegates, where the delegates meet in person, is held at least once a year. In 2016, AoDs were held in Vienna and Stuttgart. Between the general assemblies, virtual meetings may also take place.

How Long Is the Delegates’ Term of Office?

The delegates' term of office is normally three years and ends when the results of the new elections are made known.

How Many Delegates Represent Your Country Organization

The number of delegates per country depends on the size of each country organization.
Country organizations or corporate members
•    with up to 250 members can send 1 delegate,
•    with more than 250 members, up to 2 delegates,
