On the second day of the tcworld conference 2014 in Stuttgart, November 12, the Executive Board of tekom Europe had an official meeting, where different association-related matters were discussed and decided upon.

On the agenda were topics such as membership development, next year’s budget and the organization of the next assembly of delegates, coming up in spring 2015. Furthermore, the Executive Board officially approved the application of tekom Bulgaria to become part of tekom Europe starting January 1, 2015.
The official meeting was followed by a rather informal get-together of representatives of all tekom Europe country organizations. They commented on their activities in 2014 and discussed new ideas on how to further promote the association in their respective countries. One aspect that was highlighted in particular was the relevance of training and education in technical communication.
The participants discussed different options for starting formal education programs in their countries, as well as how to cooperate with industry on this matter. It was evident that each country had its own approach and preferences, but they all agreed on the importance of moving forward in this respect. Further discussions can be expected at future events.

In the evening, the international guests of the tcworld conference attended an “International Networking Evening” at Mövenpick Hotel in Stuttgart, to end a day full of information and discussion in a relaxing atmosphere.
