"Writing for the global market – a basic skillset for Technical Authors writing in English language" - Workshop presented by Ray Gallon for tekom Danmark:
This is a workshop for people who write in English for audiences whose first language is not necessarily English. It is especially useful when the writer, too, does not have English as her/his first language.
We will use interactive exercises to get at topics that can include:
- Structuring ideas in English
- Short is beautiful
- Minimalism in technical communications
- Differences between native English and Global English
- The role of culture
- Know your audience
- Common traps
- Writing collectively, topic based authoring, etc.
This list will be adjusted on site to fit the expressed needs of participants, so as to help people solve real problems.
